Frustrated by the limitation of spreadsheets and the complexity and high price of existing budgeting products, CPA and former CFO, Chris Lorch envisioned the ideal budgeting solution. Mr. Lorch put together a team of seasoned financial, technology and operational professionals to develop a powerful budgeting solution called BudgetGuide™. The original release of BudgetGuide, launched in 2003, contained simple drag and drop functionality, clear user-interfaces and links to commonly available technology, providing a straight-forward approach to managing the budget process at an affordable price. From these early beginnings, BudgetGuide has matured into a complete corporate performance management solution (“CPM”) including OLAP driven analytical tools a powerful financial report writer with a familiar spreadsheet interface, and an automated bridge to many mainstream accounting systems. Furthermore, though BudgetGuide functionally works well in many industries, we’ve been very successful in targeting certain key vertical markets, most notably, contract furniture and design, food and beverages, and healthcare.
